Sonia has worked with us and our two children for the past two years. She has been an incredible help and presence in our home, helping my children transition from school to homeschooling with lots of wisdom, patience and love this past year.
Sonia helped them, now age 13 and 7, with their homework and development from January 2021. She has completed brain profiles on both my children and helped my 13-year-old with study methods which resulted in her spending less time she used to study, because she adapted to what works best for her brain, whilst achieving better marks. This lessened the stress load for Mia.
When we decided to transition to homeschooling, Sonia took our hands and walked this journey with us, gently guiding and giving advise along the way. Her advice of us having to decide on and set a vision for our homeschool before considering anything else has been crucial. I did not realise how much of our decision making will flow from that. We could never have done this without her help. I made mistakes in curriculum choices that she graciously worked with even though Sonia, in her wisdom, might have adopted a different approach.
It has taken my children 8 to 9 months to be comfortable after having been in school, in my daughter’s case for 9 years, and Sonia has taken their hands and worked with them through the highs and lows. They have flourished this past year and their joy is infectious. She is calm in her approach, resulting in peace in our home that has been a blessing.
Sonia is way more than someone who just helps with education. She carries wisdom that is seldom found. She has always respected our boundaries. She works with utmost integrity and I am extremely grateful for her having been part of our lives.
I am taking over our homeschooling from next year because that is what we felt led to do.

Sonia Hawkins is our tutor for our 11 year old twin boys since January 2023. She fetches them from school each day and ensures that their homework gets done. She also comes to us throughput the school holidays to carry on revising and teaching the boys how to draw and doing kinesiology with them. She enjoys working with children and is hands on. Sonia joined our family in January 2023 to assess and assist in homeschooling our 10 year old son. She has gone above and beyond her tutoring duties and always with a warm smile. Sonia was able to identify our son's developmental level and work with him where he was at. She identified his brain profile through observation and applied her knowledge of the brain and muscles to support our son in making new connections and strengthen his muscle memory with more effective patterns for learning. The course is an eye opener. It is a great tool to have. I highly recommend it, especially to Early Childhood Development teachers, as they would help identify if the child has any unintergrated reflexes that would hinder academic progress in the future.DA Seswati
What I have learned here is easy to apply daily and is applicable ro any and every situation in life, not just problem solving. It should be taught in schools, churches, old age homes and working environments.
